- We have great sounding equipment that also looks good. We work hard to maintain and take care of our equipment. Your event will have one of the top quality sound systems available today. The QSC K-Series speaker system has become the new standard for sound systems today. As a result, your event will have great sound! We also carry back-up equipment in case of a malfunction.
- We work diligently to make sure the things you want to take place DO happen and the things you don’t want to take place DON’T! We are GREAT at taking YOUR instructions.
- We always dress appropriately. Our philosophy is to dress in a manner similar to your guests. If your event is a formal one, we will be dressed formally. If it is more casual, then we will dress more casual. For wedding receptions, we believe it is not appropriate to dress in a formal tuxedo unless your guests are dressed formally. Your DJ is not part of the wedding party and should not try to “steal the show.” Being dressed in a manner similar to your guests allows the DJ to blend in with the crowd until needed. Once again, we allow the event sponsor to guide us in this area.
- What you are really paying for when you hire a DJ is his or her judgment – what music to play; when to play certain songs; what music volume is appropriate; how & when to make announcements; what song lyrics are appropriate for your event; how and when to transition from one type of music to another; etc. Grant Sparks is a musician who has performed with various musical groups playing many different types of music his entire life. Grant is a trumpeter and former pianist. He has played in marching bands, jazz bands, symphonic bands, brass bands, small ensembles, and with church choirs. He played in handbell choirs for approximately 10 years. These experiences have proved to be invaluable in the DJ business giving him a vast knowledge of all types of music and the musical ability that adds quality to every event. Any DJ can have high quality equipment and thousands of songs, but good judgment only comes with the right experience.

- In addition to traditional album versions of songs, we feature radio edits, dance remixes, and other special remixes produced and/or created for DJ’s only from XMiX, Ultimix, Funkymix, and Promo Only. iTunes is a great consumer music service but is not our source of music as a professional DJ service. Our music collection is very extensive and is not yet completely listed in our database. Just because you don’t see it, doesn’t mean that we don’t have it! Note: This database is actually the SMS Productions music database. It is not a link to an external database of songs provided by a music company. SMS Productions actually owns ALL of these songs listed and has them available for all events.
